ObviouslyJesus
Today I tried installing my first armor mods, specifically Nano Suit 6.2 and Personal Jetpack. While the items function and I can find them in console using the help command, they have no icons in the Pip-Boy/UI and are completely invisible when worn. The Nano Suit actually turns my character see-through. I have already tried redownloading the mods and reinstalling. I stumbled upon a Steam forum thread here that suggested that the problem has something to do with the plugins.txt file in AppData being turned read-only, but NMM seems to always turn the file read-only when it launches the game. I don't even know if that's the fix I need, though, but it is the only thread I can find detailing the same problem. (Edit: I tried running the game from both Fallout4.exe and F4SE_loader.exe outside of NMM after having manually set plugins.txt to not be read-only... still no dice). I have 'bEnableFileSelection=1' in Fallout4Prefs.ini and the archive invalidation lines at the end of Fallout4Custom.ini. In Fallout4.ini, I have a line that goes 'sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\', but I didn't change that and all my other mods work fine without it. I tried leaving it blank and adding 'bInvalidateOlderFiles=1' to Fallout4.ini as well as Custom.ini, as described here, but it didn't fix it. My current plugins.txt is: *ArmorKeywords.esm*Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp*Armorsmith Extended.esp*AWKCRPatch-UFO4P.esp*CompanionsGoHome_A.esp*VendorCaps_50k.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-AidWeightless.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-AmmoWeightless.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-ArmorBySlot.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-CosmeticsByType.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-ExplosivesSortBottom.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-JunkBetter.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-MiscWeightless.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-ModsWeightless.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-NotJunk.esp*ValdacilsItemSorting-Perks.esp*Personal Jetpack.esp*NanoSuit.esp*NanoSuit_AWKCR_AE.esp I figure I must just be missing one blanket thing somewhere that's preventing all these mods from loading their textures/meshes/whatever you call them. I'm launching with F4SE. Lastest build of FO4 and F4SE and NMM. Edited June 6, 2016 by ObviouslyJesus
