achronreanimate
Recently reinstalled FO4 - then installed all DLC. Updated the nmm and started fresh with no mods. Made a fallout4custom.ini and wrote in all the [example] ect. text mods said to do. Installed many mods for things like grass, lowered weapons, ect and not a one will work. The plug in text has * in front of all mods and when I go in the game the "mod" menu they have says they are all there but none work at all. I've looked around and most all advice is to add * to the plugin.txt or to update the nmm and these seem rather moot and redundant in my case. So I am hoping someone can help me out - thanks
LeMMingSlayeR
Having same problem here. Mods from both Nexus and from in-game mod shop will not work, although they show up in the load order as active. Made changes to the custom ini file and saved, double checked and changes are still there but no mods will work.
bben46
The * is now required due to Beth needing it for console mods for some reason. Start with a clean game and a default unmodified ini. I suggest removing all mods and going Steam and run the verify game cache. This will also check the DLCs and make sure they are all properly installed - allow it to redo your ini back to default. Then start the first time using the steam launcher so it can create the ini properly based on your hardware. Without this, your ini will be wrong. Make a save - this is your benchmark save. NOW you can start adding mods. Be sure to test instead of piling on a bunch of mods all at once - You may think you are saving time by adding all mods at the same time, but if you now have a crash - what mod caused it? You have no clue and must spent more time than you would have originally spent to try to figure out where the problem is. :wallbash:
achronreanimate
I'll try doing that and see if it helps thanks
achronreanimate
Tried doing all that and one by one not a single mod works still
achronreanimate
Should I try to just do every mod manually? Some mods seem like they try to work - they show up within the fallout 4 menu, but nothing takes affect. Before I stopped playing this game in Dec-Jan all mods worked just fine, and all the notes I've read make it sound like everything should work even easier now that GECK is out. But now I can't even get my weapon to lower or the nights to get darker Edited June 7, 2016 by achronreanimate
Dyspare
I'm having sort of the same issue, but where my mods are working, my textures, across the board, are not loading at all. Example: I'm using The Rebel clothing set, and when I put it on, I basically just turn invisible.
bella5441371
I'm having the exact same issue, and I'm sorry to say that I have no idea what it is...I hope somebody who can solve this problem sees this soon. I wish us luck...
ben3107
Exact same issue, textures just aren't there. Example - Homemaker items hold a blank space in the menus, and just don't appear.Armors and items are also invisible like above.
KaelVirum
For all the invisible stuff, it sounds to me like just a missing texture issue, I don't know for certain, but try this. Disable the plugin that the textures are from, start your game, save and exit then re-enable the plugin and go back into your game. That process has fixed a few issues for me and it seems like it could fix the missing textures for others. If that doesn't work then try dropping the .esp back into your data folder after you've disabled the plugin and saved your game but before re-enabling it and going back in. I hope this helps for the invisible things. About the mods not working straight up, I have no idea, sorry guys.
