jmike00
Lol, confirmed Skyrim Remaster for PC... now that's just greedy. How exactly is it greedy? I'd imagine that the vast majority of PC players own all the DLC at this point and if they don't there's a Steam sale coming where Skyrim and the DLCs are notoriously cheap. So the most of us are getting it for free.
IzzacSturnburg
I'm fully convinced after studying this, the 64bit Remaster will make a great improvement to the modding foundation, why? Because Memory Allocation, the console port was limited to 250 blocks of memory allocated bits, reason Sheson's work was involved and integrated into the SKSE release, just picture the mod limitation sky rocket about 20 fold (with hardware limits) ps3 memory was 256 MB of RAM starting on the lowest foundation of memory use then working up to XBOX and PC, you have to start at the limits then work your ports to other platforms, that's business equality. But now ram and 64 bit is at a high time use and tech and software are working well together from the time of the first release 8 GB of ram, 64 bit, and ported. Just think of how many mods can run and stay stable let alone if you can prioritize your conflicts order. The solution in theory: 250x4= 1,000 so by x8 by console RAM , the allocation should be around 32x the amount, so we should jump from a 220 Port limit to a minimum of 20x times, this would give to a estimated whopping 4400 mod limit which is a huge jump from 200+ mods. (reminder hardware limits) If they bump the Direct X we will also see a mass improvement in render stability which should triple our rendering limits for mods and textures and models even further. Note update: I added a minimum of 20x because you have to save room for heavy scripted items and the games usage of scripts and functions already in play. (just a clarify of information.) Aids
Dont really mind... Just hoped they'd make a new game in the series instead.

The only reason PC gets the upgrade free is because they already own the game on that system. PS4 and Xbox One don't have Skyrim, so there is no game to update. Therefore they have to pay for it. LordNyron
Dont really mind... Just hoped they'd make a new game in the series instead.Judging from Todd Howard's comments on The Elder Scrolls VI, they're planning to be really ambitious with the next installment which means they need a new engine. Pile that on top of two new games we know nothing about and the development of Fallout 4 which required his teams full attention, and of course it'll take way longer for the next game to come out. The Skyrim Remaster is merely to update Skyrim and breath even a little bit of new life in it and hopefully jump start the modding community again to make it last until Elder Scrolls VI is out. If more people made big content expansions like Falskaar it'd have a lot more life. I imagine Beyond Skyrim will scratch that itch though since it's adding all the provinces built from scratch with their own unique NPC's and quest chains, fully voice acted. RushingEdge
my opinions on Skyrim remastered, well before that lets look at the real skyrim and how much of a mess it is. First I think we can all agree that skyrim was left in an unoptimized broken mess. everything from lighting to combat and beyond is just so broken you just can't play it with out mods that fix some of the basic issues. so major cudo's to the modding community for all the great mods guys. now I know it sounds like I'm shitting on skyrim but no I love playing skyrim, I've played skyrim on both the xbox 360 and pc and clocked thousands of hours on both so yeah I know what I'm talking about. Now what I want to see in a new remastered skyrim updated graphics and lighting would be nice but a playable stable game would be even better but even then I probably wont pick it up unless it has a lot more content. to me the remastered edition sounds more like like a money grab then anything else I hope I'm wrong and its a new fixed and optimised version with lots of updated stuff as well as better flushed out factions the over all stories were very dry and uninspired.
