My Fallout 3 GOTY dlc disc isnt loading or something I have not yet Identified the problem nor have I figured out how to get it to run but i have researched and this has happened to others but my case is rather diffrent.Ounce I put in the disc it just sits there and runs and runs and runs then I finally try to run it manually(aka open it manually and run the setup)but even then it takes about 1-2 hours for it to load up the little admin confirmation thing and ounce I click allow all it does is repeat the process. If someone could help me with my problem itd be nice because a couple mods require the dlcs and plus I want point lookout because its pretty fun to play and of course Broken Steel.

Well, had something similar, F3 main disc just spinning furiously for a long time, after great many "restarts" it finally loaded... just to keep spinning without progress during installation... Looked like it was a disc issue tho, got it swiched for free new copy and it worked after that.

I know that doesn't help much, but my point is, that it might not be system or other software issue, it might be badly pressed disc or a bit scratched + older mechanic. And if you bought it sometime recently, shops usually don't do much trouble when you want a new disc.

Other than that, no real idea.

Hi, if I remember correctly this ia a common problem with that disk. Bethesda had the bright idea to put all DLCs into one large install file.

Two things to try:

- Disable your virus scanner during the install

- open the disk in explorer, copy the install file to your HD and run it from there.

Hope this helps

+1

I've had this technique work for many an install of some gigantic program. The only issue that you might experience is if there is DRM on the disk itself, it might glitch. I don't know how the GOTY media is set up tho, since I long ago got the main game then DLCs after that.
