Deleted Items?

This might sound a bit strange, but I've noticed a problem with a very small amount of alchemy components that seem to have been... removed from the game entirely. Wolf's Liver is the one I remember off the top of my head. It's a bit hard to explain, but looking at the recipe for Beast Oil, for example, normally you would see two required items: dog tallow and wolf liver, correct? Well, now, instead of showing wolf liver, there's just a blank box with no description or picture or anything of that nature. Likewise, during Ciri's fight with the "Wolf King," no livers dropped from the wolves, and so I was unable to brew the special oil recommended for the fight.

 

Now, up to this point it hasn't been anything gamebreaking; beast oil is, imo, by far the least useful of the oils, so I'm not particularly concerned that I can't use it, but the fact that the item seems to have disappeared entirely is a bit odd. It doesn't drop from wolves, and merchants don't sell it either, far as I can tell.

 

Normally, I would just go through the mod list, but I have a large number of mods installed, at least one of which can't really be easily uninstalled, so I'd rather not if I don't have to. My question is whether anyone else has had a similar problem before. Two of the mods I'm using deal with creature drops, from what I can tell, one of them being [increased Creature Loot] and the other being [Witcher's Woe Combat Overhaul]. Removing ICL hasn't solved the problem, but that could just mean that I'm f*cked, pardon my french. Witcher's Woe requires a bit more effort to remove, and I'm not entirely sure how or what it would affect, so I'd rather not try if I didn't have to.

 

Honestly if the item is gone, it's gone, I'm not going to restart the playthrough or anything like that, but I am genuinely curious. I've never seen something like this in a game before, that I can remember.

I've discovered a couple of more "missing" items. It seems to be exclusively animal/monster parts, rather than equipment or plants. Still nothing vital, just a few more incomplete-able alchemy recipes. Is there any place you can buy already completed potions? I know you can get a superior (I think) draconid oil when you do the forktail quest in Kaer Morhen, but that's the only one I know of.
