Hey,

 

I was wanting to make a mod that utilized the flyable vertibird mod.[ THIS MOD DOES NOT INCLUDE THE FLYABLE VIRTIBIRD MOD. IT MUST BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE AUTHOR OF THE MOD.(however you'll need the flyable virtibird or else the mod would be pointless.)]

 

I've downloaded the J3X Vertibird New Vegas style by Hardkopy and flew around and I just love dropping on a the enemy and blasting them and taking their stuff. I then found a empty portion of the map while flying around. You have to go the NCR Mojave Outpost and fly well above the Statue with the ranger and trooper before flying forward(unless you want to get stopped by the invisible wall) once over the fence you can drop down onto the wide open desert. I don't have lonesome road installed yet so there is nothing there just the wind and the sand. And I thought that would make a great place to build a small little town or base or whatever that's only accessible by the vertibird.

 

As I am new to modding I'm doing things that are over my head which is why I wanted to post this idea in hopes that another more skilled modder can do something with it. I'd be grateful if anyone wishes to do something with this idea.

 

The premise of the addon is simple. A player with the flyable vertibird mod can go to Rodger's Town. His honorable Jolly Roger being the mayor. Everyone there has their own vertibird because they're all Sky Pirates(or whatever you think is cooler sounding name). They descend from skies upon unsuspecting targets, kill them and take the loot. They then bring the loot back to either sell it or keep it.

 

The town is only accessible by vertibird and isn't too run down meaning everything is in pretty good condition, no rubble, or trash. Just a nice clean place to live. I even wanted to have some plants here and there to make the place look like a complete oasis if possible. There would a be a bar or maybe a casino , a flight operations center(where the player would buy permits(which are actually keys) that will allow them to access other vertibird camps (like two or three tiny camps placed in various spots). Of course there could be a player home, medical clinic, or whatever you feel like putting there.

 

Well that was my idea. I've bitten off more than I could chew I'm afraid however I hope a skilled modder can do something with this if they want to do something with this. Me? I think I''ll give the modding a rest and take it easy for a while. That stuff is hard and I have mad respect for those that do it. I'm going to keep researching and studying videos about the subject and who knows maybe I'll come out with a mod of my own.
