Help me Setup my list of mods

With Skyrim coming up, I wanted to give Oblivion one last glorious run. I've played and finished vanilla and even toyed with some mods before but that years ago and things look slightly more complicated than dragging a folder into another folder. Basically, I want:

Oblivion

Shivering Isles + KOTN + other official addons

Unofficial patch

OOO (or another overhaul with more weapons, creatures and not so much autoleveling)

Oblivion XP

Natural environments (or one that does the same: make everything look better)

The guard overhaul, can't remember the name

Stealth Entrances

Darker dungeons

ParasyteX new vampires

Deadly Reflex

I would really like an alchemy related mod if there is one. I love the idea of alchemy but in vanilla I felt it was pretty useless. 90% of the stuff you make are useless temporary buffs and making actual damage/status dealing poisons was incredibly hard.

Also, I heard there are lots of mods that change the appearance of my character and NPCs including the animations, any recommendations on that?

I think those are it, unless someone wants to recommend some others. What will I need? From the little research I did, I need OMM, Wyre Bash and OBSE. Also, should I load them in any particular order?

The Guard overhaul I use is called Reneer's Guard Overhaul. Not sure if that's the one you want (since I'm sure there's more than 1) but it's what I have. I'm not sure about alchemy mods, you might need to add some more details as to what you actually want as far as effects of the mod goes.

There are mods out there that will change the animations, try the DMC Stylish Animation Replacer or similar others. Not sure if they affect NPC's since I personally don't have these installed. You'll need to play around and read up on the individual mods.

TES4LODGen is also recommended, the most noticeable effect being it will make the cities show up from a distance (great for watching the run rise over the IC from the Jerrall Mountains).

If you're looking for appearance mods, especially ones that use the .bsa file type, you may want to search for BSA patcher. It fixes some bugs.

Instead of Wrye Bash I use BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software), which I gather is a component of Wrye Bash that sorts the mod files in order to minimise conflicts (someone please correct me if I'm wrong.)

Other than that I have so many mods that it's hard to recommend any off the top of my head. I might take a look and get back to you =]

Just a little off :)

BOSS is for sorting the load order, absolutely correct. Wrye Bash is for making your installed mods work well together (by creating a Bashed Patch) and for installing Mods (BAIN feature).

Totally different tools, but used together unbeatable :)

Wrye Bash's features are little bit overwhelming at first look. But getting into it is totally worth the trouble.

For getting started and a bit more info check out this pictorial guide.

Happy modding :)
