natelovesyou
That's irrelevant, and I disagree. It's like some kid saying "Country fits into Skryim, because Country is best"

It's like some kid saying "Country fits into Skryim, because Country is best" True, and everyone can have his own tastes.I'm not saying that everyone must like Metal (in fact, I'm somewhat surprised as well, that so many people here do).Maybe it's just that those who do like it, are more serious about it, than the fans of some other music styles. I know I am. EDIT: Also, nowadays more and more metal songs are inspired by skandinavian myths, or fantasy themes, so it's only natural. mdale13
I would agree that something as modern and deafening as Metal has little place in how I imagine Skyrim. Horgr
What is with the near-necessity of fans of this kind of game to like metal? Nothing about it matches the game, goof grief :( Only perhaps immediate music, two steps from hell, other epic music composers could better capture the feeling of battle than metal (or will there not be any battles in Skyrim?). Moshpits, walls of death, headbanging etc, are all very violent and adrenaline pumping things to do, and they all happen AT METAL SHOWS....hell, a wall of death is basically a crude simulation of charging into battle. I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THIS. They may be a bunch of fat, sweaty, socially inept losers, but then again...isn't that a stereotype for RPG'ers as well? As for viking metal, it stresses appriciation of culture, tradition, history, mythology, and those are all pretty big aspects of TES games that people enjoy. Its a common metal mentality. Fatalmasterpiece
Considering for my first playthrough just turning off the ingame music and playing the entire Conan soundtrack by Basil Poledouris. It's amazing and stirs up such strong emotions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onGWF8mz1Zw

SickFak
That's irrelevant, and I disagree. It's like some kid saying "Country fits into Skryim, because Country is best" Because country has lyrics about Norse mythology, valhalla and otherwise viking era battles and such... No metal is not fitting at all in Skyrim... Edited October 28, 2011 by SickFak
ValugaTheLord
That's irrelevant, and I disagree. It's like some kid saying "Country fits into Skryim, because Country is best" Well you seem like a guy who doesn't listen to Metal all that often. Metal is huge music genre that contains in it self so much sub genres that its not even funny, there are Viking Metal, Pirate Metal, Folk Metal and so much more and how is this not fitting into the theme? Its Powerful music that will only make your blood boil in most engaging battles and will be also good for ambient music (Instrumental Metal). Plus its a Music about Fairy tales and Vikings how can it not fit into Fairy tale/Viking game? :D
chikawowwow
I have a feeling the metal fans won't be impressed but my battle music: Mainly because I also am not 'going out like a spineless jellyfish'.
