Rennn
So, I have a gtx 460. That's not the issue. My brother wants a pc capable of maxing some games, including Skyrim. What's the best budget card you can think of? He's leaning towards the GeForce 580, but I informed him that there are plenty of great cards for less than $350. Now think of some :) ! hector530
560TI and hd 6950, around 250 for 560 and about 270 for 6950. Edited October 27, 2011 by hector530

xaliqen
If a GTX 260 can play Skyrim on high, a GTX 460 might be capable of maxing the game. I can max a lot of games using an overclocked GTX 470.
mikedepreston
Jack of hearts? MM phono card for a Copland CSA29 amplifier? Nectar card? You're not having my bank card. And it's a bit early for Christmas cards...

El`derina
I recommend a Geforce GTX 560 tiwhy? because the manufacturer demands it of me after my purchase...
Rennn
My heartfelt thanks for the suggestions so far. The more the merrier! (which, FYI, is what I'm going to yell gleefully as I see how many bodies I can stick in a closet in Skyrim)
Alistat
My brothers using a 260? atm and hasn't had a problem with a game yet... their only like 90$ on newegg atm lol and since a 360 can play the game I'm going to assume Skyrim won't be inanely graphics intensive for the PC so it should be able to handle it... oh btw there is a pretty nifty site if you want to compare cards really easily :)http://www.hwcompare.com Edited October 27, 2011 by Alistat
mdale13
I will go ahead and suggest a GTX 560 Ti as well. I am probably going to end up getting one shortly after Skyrim's release (or maybe a 570....). It seems to be the best bang for the buck by far. Another popular option would be to get two 460's in SLi, which will perform as good as or better than a single 580 in most instances.
