New .nif/mesh invisible in-game... Yay.

OK, I'm a moron and need some help (again). I solved my first issue with this new barrel model, but now it won't show up in-game if I modify the weapon at all. The barrel and any muzzle devices (brakes, compensators, suppressors) both turn invisible, and I've got no idea what I need to check or change to fix this.

Edit: And on top of that, equipping the weapon causes an instant CTD. Still!

Yes, the .nif is totally enclosed in a bounding sphere. I just loaded it up in NifSkope to check.

There is -one- barrel/muzzle combo that still shows up in the preview - the barrel and the rifle's matching brake. Any other combo is invisible, and no matter what combo it is, the game will instantly CTD when I try to equip the rifle.

I was getting a CTD on a custom mesh. Turned out that the wet material in the nif was wrong and was pointing to the name of the ninode of the nif instead of the BGSM material. I changed that to the wet material BGSM and it fixed it.

But it could be something else entirely that's wrong. I hope you find what it is.

Hmmkay. I just found that Material Editor over on the FO4 Nexus, got it installed and set up. Checked the BGSM that the new .nif is supposed to be using, no problems there (and confirmed that the same .bgsm is what the original barrel .nif is using, which by the way works fine - what I'm trying to do is make a fluted version).

Hmmmkay.... Played around with the .nif a bit in NifSkope, changed the .bgsm from the original DSR.bgsm to the AK_Gas_Tube.bgsm (the .nif I'm using is literally just an AK gas tube that I doubled length-wise in Outfit Studio). Not sure what it did in-game, but I was able to go around ~20 minutes with the new barrel attached and showing. I had it disappear for a little bit when I swapped muzzle devices, but the effect was purely cosmetic, and reverted on its own about a minute later when I holstered and drew the gun again.
