Vampirism question

I have a few questions about vampirism, I am about to create a mod, and in order to even start it I have to create a new type of vampirism, but I have no clue how it works. I was trying to figure out how it works so that I can understand how to edit it, I know it starts with the vampdisease, but it has no scripted effect attatched to it, I looked at the vampirism magic effect, no script, and I looked at each stage, no script. How is this all tied together then, how does the vampirism script start, is it a part of the game that automaticly detects if you have vampirism and starts when you do?

 

Anyway, about what I am trying to do. I am trying to create an alternate type of vampirism, that has the normal stat boosts, plus a few extra, and it will also add you to a certain faction as long as you have that type of vampirism, and so it does not conflict with normal vampirism, it will need to have an immunity to all diseases. If you understand what im doing it will be very similar to morrowind, how you join the clan if you have their vampirism, not just porphyric hemophilia that you get from any old vampire hiding in the sewers living off rat blood, it will help set it so you are a vampire whose blood belongs purely to that faction. Can anyone tell me how it works and/or tell me how to set this up?
