Animated objects not using cube maps?

I have a revolver that is part black and part silver. Silver looking like white unless you put some reflection in it in game. The scope, which is completely static, displays the cube map correctly but the cylinder, trigger and hammer do not, even though they are using the same texture maps and the same material settings as far as I can tell. Has any one ever noticed animated parts not using their cube maps? Or is the animated hierarchy overriding the individual material settings somewhere?

In case anyone else runs into this problem, the node simply needed to have the SF_MULTIPLE_TEXTURES flag added to the shader flags in Nif scope. This is found under BSShaderPPLightingProperty
