Beautifull Darkness

Woken to my world of darkness yet I sense you there

Your angelic voice sings out, its chorus holds me like a glove

guided by your song I find the path to where you stand

Your sweet scent permeates my senses and for eternity I shall be drunk

 

With trembling hand I reach into the endless darkness, willing that this not be a dream

Feeling the soft silken touch of your skin

I run my hand over your face and through your hair, as the finest fabric

Fingers caress your eyes like precious gems, oh to know what wonders they've seen

finding your lips I mark the precious path from whence that beautiful song had come

 

I feel your warm breath and even then I know it warms the Earth

Your wordless song fills the air once more and I am lost in the melody

A gentle touch takes my hand and our fingers entwine like an unbreakable chain

Guiding my hand you place on your breast and your hand to mine

Our hearts beat as one the universe to tremors with their unity

 

Your gentle touch glides over scars from wars won and lost, carving paths of healing

Tracing your sculptured form I draw you nearer in embrace, wanting your comforting warmth

With no distance between us I feel we have moulded as one, nigh inseparable by any force

For eternity I shall stay linked to the beating of your heart lest mine should cease

I will walk where you walk, lay where you lay, feeling all that you do

Your eyes shall be mine, the darkness has washed away.
