You mean the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you buy something you already have?

Yes that's what I meant. I see now that my post is a bit flawed.

To clarify, I meant taking the sound files from the "Music" folder that comes with the game, not pirating the Soundtrack.

I understood what you meant, but wha?

Has Bethesda ever released a soundtrack before?

Wow. 4 CD's worth of music! That is just awesome. I'd much rather have this than a dragon statue. Although, I don't see myself buying it as I'm assuming I'll just be able to copy the tracks I want from the game and just play them on my computer. Now that I think of it, perhaps it's 4 CD's in length because it has a lot of music that isn't in the game?... That must be the case considering it's 4 CDs worth of music. Huh! Well, maybe I'll buy it after all...

4CD's you say? well that speaks volumes about the music that will be used in-game. Frankly they didn't have enough music to go around with oblivion, and it got repetitive. But with 4 CD's worth it looks like they will have plenty of music for Skyrim, awesome.

I will looking forward to hearing it on my Klipsch 5.1 sound system

Finally! I've been waiting for Bethesda to announce a soundtrack every since they released Skyrim. As a music composer, this is one I'm def. adding to my collection.

  • 2 weeks later...

I never really understood the OST phenomenon, especially in regards to games like this where the music files are readily accessible in the game's subfolders...

Why pay 30$ for music you already have by virtue of owning the game? Just honestly curious.

Happy for ya'll tho :)

Because the music files are often stored in lossy quality?

Because you want to support the composers?

Because you want to give others composers who think people aren't interested in OST and Scores a hint?
