Recommend mods, please?

This is probably not a very popular thing to ask but... while I admire Oblivion's modding community, there is just a LOT of things to sift through. 1000's probably. I'm just really wanting to hear some suggestions of some very commonly used ones perhaps. I'm probably going to erase my Oblivion and start it fresh, just because I want to have less random mods and all that.

 

Could I get some opinions on some recommended mods? I've been trying to find a nice armor mod for females that has a good balance of well... good-looking, fantasy stuff, but not the overly silly stuff. Some good companions perhaps, with romance would be quite good as well (although a friend says companions might bug quests or something? Do things they kill still count for you or something? I know I've used Oblivion XP and he wasn't sure if them killing things actually nets you XP).

 

I'm not adverse to using adult content mods either. I've owned Oblivion for a while but just haven't put any real time into it since I just can't seem to find a nice mix of mods to get me interested in it.

 

Sorry if I ramble. My thought process seems to go from one thing, to another, and back, then somewhere else and stuff.

Check the top 100 lists on the front page - we hide them under the obscure name 'Files' - right up at the top next to the site name. There is a set of these lists for each game we support. These are actually the most popular and most recommended mods - as that is how they got there. There are separate lists for adult and non adult as well as more recient as opposed to all time favorites. :thumbsup:

Ayleid Royals looks like an armor set you'd like. Reclaiming Sancre Tor is a good quest mod, although it's diametrically opposed to Servant of the Dawn. As bben46 suggested, the top 100 list is a good place to look.

now first my suggest for a new body

 

As a Body mod I would prefer a HGEC body nude (female), (male) because tons of clothing are based on this mod.

You personalize your game by taking your favourite mods. No other one plays the same game.

 

Oblivion is in my opinion the most and best modded game in the world. Don't talk bad about the creators of monsters and aditional Quests. They do great work and have beautiful storys to tell. Worth to be tryed out.

 

If you are interested in Quest mods there are lots of good stories.
