Welcome. We look forward to hearing your views on life, the universe and everything. But just remember the answer is 42.

Actually, Malchik,

In the TV series, I can't remember if it was in the books, but I suspect so, the answer to Life, The Universe and Everything was 7x8, it was just because of Mr. Dent's rather rusty multiplication skills that it came to 42.

Welcome! Always nice to have a new face around the forums.

I thought the answer was provided by Deep Thought.

Ah, but Deep Thought suggested that he did not really know the answer, because they asked the wrong question. He designed the 'computer' (The Earth) for them that could provide the question, which could in turn be asked to him, the computer being humans, oh and the mice, good on the mice.

'They hung in the air in the exact way that bricks don't.'

'Flying is just a matter of throwing yourself at the ground and missing.'
