GreyCamcAm
I'm really new to PC gaming and modding and whatnot, and I've been getting some mods for New Vegas. Most of them I'm able to figure out, but some don't work. One I want is Desert Camo for my Pipboy (http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37596), and it says to use it I just have to put it in the New Vegas/Data file, which I did. When I open the Data Files it doesn't show up, and when I play the game it's just a normal Pipboy. How do I go about implementing it?
grigoriprime
Make sure things are going where they're supposed too. There are a ton of subfolders in data. You want textures in textures, meshes in meshes, etc. If you see a data folder inside your data folder that's why it's not working.. I highly recommend using fallout mod manager (FOMM). It can make sure things go where they're supposed to, make uninstalling WAY easier, and help you toggle archiveinvalidation (if you end up with textures not loading or the dreaded red exclamation point, this is usually why). Lius
Like Grigor said; get FOMM. It will make your life x1000 easier and i mean it. Gopher always has nice videos on some of the installation for bigger mods. He always goes about using the FOMM for easy installing and uninstalling and shows you every step you need to know. I highly recommend searching for some of his videos on youtube. I believe you can just type in GopherVids and itll show up. Its a commentary too so that makes it even better.
