Is it okay that I continue to use modern firearms even though it was taken down for copyright reasons?

I have the modern firearms mod for fallout 4 still installed, I noticed the other day it was recently taken down because it stole assets from another game. Do any of you still use mods that have been taken down for reasons like this?

What you do on your own pc is up to you, keep it, delete it, no one is going to come knocking at your door for using it, just do not distribute it.

 

Although from what I have been told they are removing any non allowed/illegal content and working closely with admin to ensure this so it can return.

Basically it is the same as when privately sharing mods without permission. As long as nobody knows about it, nobody will care.

 

However, it is the "use" of the assets from other games which Bethesda forbid, the redistribution is what's illegal. But if you keep talking about it in public, they "might" at one point also come to you.

And also make sure that if at any point you share screenshots of your game on here they don't show any of these assets either, or it becomes the Nexus' problem again.

 

Apart from that, nobody cares what you do in your privacy.

Thanks for the info. I will delete it, I found another mod that adds similar weapons to replace it anyway.
