yungskiz
ive had two different issues with my saves: the first occurred only when i hit/exceeded the maximum mod limit, i would save through the escape menu, and my saves were titled "corrupt_01" or something like that, as opposed to "Name_goodsprings" or whatever. is this what it means to invalidate your savegame? the second issue, happens frequently, and is why i religiously back up my saves, happens when i enter a new cell. first i enter a new cell (fast travel seems to be the most frequent), then i get a ctd. i start the game again, then whenever i try to save my game, i get a ctd. is this what it means to corrupt a save? also any tips to prevent save corrupting would be welcome, as i think there should be a guide to prevent save corruption, but i have yet to find it. quicksilverva
if you exceeded your mod limit, lose some mods you dont want/need and bring it down to under the limit. should resolve that issue. as for crash on save, go to documents\mygames\falloutnewvegas\saves, and see if theres anything with the extension .tmp. if you do, then delete everything associated with it (save.fos, save.fos.bak, save.fos.bak.tmp) as thosr are corrupted saves, and load an earlier save that doesnt have that extension. i would suggest using an autosave manager such as CASM
