EmissaryOfWind
I am playing around with my face texture, and the new one I made rendered all my face overlays (makeup, scars, eyebrows) invisible. It also looks like it's darker than it should be, although that could be due to weird lighting. It doesn't seem to affect other NPCs, at least Piper was spared. I made my new texture 2K (instead of 1K previously) and it was saved at the highest quality setting (DTX5 I believe?)
EmissaryOfWind
Alright, apparently it's not possible to use 2K face textures, they have to be vanilla size ie 1K. Kind of weird but that's Bethesda for you.
mm137
This was an issue in Skyrim too. There was a workaround but I can't remember what it was. Something in SKSE maybe?
EmissaryOfWind
I downsized it to 1K, but the problem persists.
EmissaryOfWind
A couple screenshots showing the issue: As you can see, the texture itself is showing fine, but not the overlays.
