Hello, it's probably cause I'm new to PC modding that I don't really know what to do here. But here's what I need to know.

I've tried installing NVSE and some of the mods on this site. I've opened NV and checked the data files and it said the mods was on the list.

But every time I tried to play the game, my save wouldn't load. And now the game just freezes everytime I try to start it.

I've tried looking on youtube, searching here. I just need someone to help me with a step-by-step instructions or a post that has that that can help me just put the mods on the game so that I can play.

Also some basic mods to play around with that I should download would be much appreciated.

I Have NVSE, WinRAR, and a couple mod that I downloaded.

First thing you should check is that you have extracted all the needed files/folders to where they belong. Generally, you need to extract everything in the Data folder. However, sometimes it extracts into a Data folder inside the data folder, so check that it hasn’t done that for some of your mods…

Usually, there’s a readme included with the mod that explains how to install, so, if in doubt, check that.

The second thing you have to make sure of, is you have a correct load order. To do this, I’d strongly recommend FOMM ( http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36901 ).

Generally, the load order should be:

[X] FalloutNV.esm

[X] DLCs and all other esm files

[X] All esp files (plugins)

Some esm/esp files need to load before or after others, but I can’t really help you with this. It should, however, be mentioned in each mod’s own readme file.

Hope it helps. :)
