Need info on how to make a cube map compatable with FO4/CK

i have got the Nividia texture works plugin for photoshop, i tried the things at here, and my custom maps work on the cubemapgen there, but they fail to load in the CK properly and the result was just a shiny black surface. This happens if you load the material without a ENVmap specified, but still have the needed blacked out sections of the D and the white of the S

 

they simply fail to render when the maps are applied to a material, and that material is swapped on the item in question..

 

i have even tried making exact copies of the existing ones, but those fail so i am guessing its something in how i am saving etc...

 

 

i can usually figure this stuff out with examples, but i cannot find any examples for FO4. i just today got to where i can edit the specular and normals without those changes crashing the CK, i also know from experince that differant cube maps present in the FO4 files load differantly, some will not work for texturing weapons etc.

 

 

i am not 100% new to this stuff, but as far as FO4 goes this week has been my first real efforts with texturing. i am a terrible artist, but colorizing vanilla assets is reasonably easy.... getting them to work tho.... please help if you can^^

And oh I don't blame you. My suggestion is use something subtle and don't use an actual scene. It looks fine on chrome to reflect a scene, but on flat areas it shows how fake it is very quickly. Especially problematic is showing any sky, since you can't know what weather that it will be viewed with, and may show a clear blue sky on a cloudy night, as is the issue now.
