PunisherX100
This is strange. My son and I play Oblivion w/ KNO9 and SI and about 50 other mods. Everything worked fine untill I loaded Fighter's Stronghold. Some of his save games don't load; they crash the whole game upon trying to load the save. He is level 50. But, he has a newer game, with the same character, level 16 and it loads fine. All of my save games load, except one. I have the NEC Eva character. The only game that does not load is one that I used Midas spells with to summon the ridable white tiger.I took out Midas spells (using OBMM) and it had no effect on my game or his.I noticed that the fighter's stronghold mod changed the Oblivion.Ini file (by the date change), but I do not know where. I am wondering if the fact that the FS mod had a bsa file and an esp file, made for 1.1.511 and we have SI with 1.2.426 has anything to do with it. Through a search on the official Bethesds site I noticed that Fighters Stronghhold is not compatable with A Silhorn Manor mod, and some mod called a Huge Castle (or something). Does anyone know what the problem is or how to fix this? Your help will be much appreciated.
TheTerminator2004
So which other mods do you use? Chances are, one of them is causing the problem.
PunisherX100
that would involve listing over 50 mods, and probably to no avail. My hope is that someone reading this may have encountered a similar problem and may know of a solution or of a bug in the fighters stronghold mod. I do have Midas spells and lost Paladin of the divines, and mightmare. Is it possible that mods that enable more than one horse will cause a problem? Thanks in advance for any help. Sypron
You could get the list of mods in your ini and copy + paste them here, or at least put the ones that plausibly conflict.
bben46
Suggestion:Make a new save & write down the save numberUsing OBMM, disable half of your mods. Try it. If it still doesn't work, you know which half to work with.Disable half of the remaining mods. Keep doing this it won't take long to track it down. then re enable all the rest of your mods and CHECK to see if it works. If it does work, leave that mod off and load the save game you wrote down. Its a simple progression, 50, 25, 12, 6, 3, 1 so you should be able to find the culprit in 6 or so tries. Don't depend on your memory, write it down.Good luck

So the more you add 5the more you have a chance to screw something up. What is it about you folks who have to use all those MOD's? Maybe Edmond Hillery was right when asked why he climbed Mt. Everest" Maybe just because they are there . I only use about 5 or 6. Each time I have added one I play for a while before adding another. You can take them all out and try add ing them one at a tim e but is ity really worth it and do YOU need them all to enjoy the game? PunisherX100
Thank you for the suggestions. I solved the problem. Perhaps this post will help someone else. The problem may not have been with fighters stronghold at all. I did two things that solved the problem, and although I am not sure which one was the primary solution, I suspect the second one. 1. The very day they bben46 suggested to check half of my mods at a time, I decided to do the same thing that morning. Prior to actually disabling them I thought I would rearrange them because some of them should not be disabled. Such as my NEC Eva main character, KNO9 DVD stuff and shivering aisles. Because some mods are more important than others, such as: hot keys and spell delete, Midas spells, magica regenerate etc. I put them at the bottom of the OBMM list, to give them priority, and my clothing mods and other less significant mods for the top. 2. While rearranging these, I realized that about a week prior to loading the Fighters Stronghold mod, I disabled PJ spell compendium. I had already removed the spells from my spell inventory, (using the hot keys and spell delete mod) but apparently my son must not have. This would explain why his saves did not load but mine did. The fact that one of mine would not load which was at the same level and spell inventory as the other ones, remains a mystery to me. Perhaps the mod arrangement did have something to do with it. I hope this helps someone else. The moral of the story is do not disable PJ spell compendium unless you have ALL of his spells out of your inventory, and arrange your most important mods toward the bottom of OB MM.
