dylanrb123
So I just installed a bunch of mods, and when I went to make a merged patch with FO3 edit, it couldn't find any of my files. When I looked a little further, I saw that it was using the wrong location for the \Data folder. It was using E:\Games\Data when it should be using E:\Games\Fallout 3\Data. The issue is that when I installed the game I accidentally told it to install to the games folder (not to create a Fallout 3 folder) and then when I realized my mistake I just created a folder called "Fallout 3" in explorer and moved everything into there. So the registry points to \Games\Data instead of \Games\Fallout 3\Data. So I'm wondering if I can fix this without re-installing, cause that would be a major pain.Thanks,-Dylan
ElderMalaclypse
You will have to change the install path in the registry using regedit. Go to start then run and type in regedit. (Or use your prefered method of opening regedit)When regedit opens up in the left panel expand:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Software Bethesda Softworksand then select the Fallout 3 folder. In the right pane you should see a couple entries, one of them being 'install path'. Right click on it, select modify and then change the path so it points to the drive and folder where you installed Fallout 3. i.e. - \Games\Fallout 3\Data Good luck - Mal
