sockit2me66
I am fairly experienced with using nifskope and have had it work previous to this on an older computer with windows xp. But, I have attempted multiple times to install nifskope on my new computer which has windows 7. Installation appears to run smoothly with no errors. However, upon startup of nifskope, I recieve the error "Loadlibrary failed with error 998: Invalid access to memory location." I have done multiple uninstalls and reinstalls to no avails. I have even done a manual install of the nifskope files, but no success. Needless to say, I am in need of some aid. Can anyone help me?
dazzerfong
Since you're using Windows 7, most likely would be the UAC not letting NifSkope accessing Program Files. You can either deactivate it or run NifSkope with administrative privelages.
sockit2me66
Thank you so much for your help. However, I have already prompted my computer to run nifskope as an administrator. I did turn off uac, but it also had no effect. I am still getting the error 998 upon trying to run nifskope. Any other ideas?
