Oddbrother
You know what? This is getting annoying. I hate having to copy and paste music here and there over and over again. Why can't there be a simple third party program that can make a playlist for you and link to the designated music file, rather than having to waste some space copying it into your data/music folder or moving it straight there and deleting it by accident in place of another file with the same name? The playlists could be organized in the matter that Bethesda did with the music in each directory: battle, public, dungeon, and misc Misc would allow you to pinpoint specific music files for level-up, death, and title screen songs, without having to replace or backup your original song files. Even if I did rename the music files to avoid replacing them. It would only take more time, which is annoying.

The game only grabs its playlist from those folders. It only selects what to play randomly from those settings. Even though there is a scripting function that might allow for certain music to play at certain times, it really doesn't work in any way that can be utilized. It only queues the next song to be played, doesn't stop what is currently playing, and cannot be looped. It also only works when game settings are set right, and does not allow you to string one song after another.
Sypron
Just making sure that you know: You can have as many songs in the Explore, Battle, Public and Dungeon File's as you want, and they will all play. They don't need to be named appropriately either, just in the correct format (mp3). You can remove or leave the original music files too. Besides, the only file you REALLY need in battle is yakety sax.
