Bad guys are pin cushions

Hi! I am using a bow and hitting the npcs but it takes way too many arrows to put them down! Is it me or is this normal for the game? Is there is a mod or, something I can do to limit the amount of arrows needed to kill them suckers! I really enjoy sneaking and using the bow so please let me know. Thanks!

Either you need to have higher skill, or use better arrows and bows. There are however some mods out there (search is your friend, look under gameplay tweaks) that make adjustments to weapons, sneak attack multipliers, or damage calculations. You should however take some caution since many of the changes work both ways.

Or you can slide the difficulty slider down. Makes enemies easier to kill. Of course, it makes YOU harder to kill, but A good archer wouldn't be getting hit anyway, would he/she?

Thanks, I tried some mods but they made the bad guys fly and bounce REAL bad and me too, so I'm now using a deadric bow. I still have the pin cushion effect but the fight is more realistic. I also think maybe their armor may also be a cause. Thanks again!
