Realistic Combat

This is really a mod I'd love to see- and if no one makes it, I'm going to attempt it myself. I'm a terrible modder, so it probably won't work, but I can dream. . .

This wouldn't be a mod for everyone- only for the realism enthusiasts who want to feel as though every battle could be life and death, yet who don't want enemies to be able to take unrealistically large amounts of damage.

First off, all health in the game would be lowered so that a person (you or an enemy) would die in a couple of hits- fewer with larger weapons, more with daggers and such. Unarmored, your health would be tiny, but you would be very fast. Heavily armored, you would be slow- but would be able to take a several hits. Medium armor would, of course, be a balance of the two.

Shields would block all damage, including magic, fire, and arrows. Swords could would block only physical attacks, such as arrows and melee weapons, and would leave you open to fire and magic.

Going into combat prepared, (perhaps with allies), and alert would be vital. Every time you stepped outside a town or into a ruin, you would feel some kind of nervousness if this mod worked correctly.

Animals would have low health for the most part- (woolly mammoths would have high hp and massive attack power) but their attacks would almost always either stagger you or knock you down, and an unblocked hit would do massive damage, so killing them quickly and avoiding their attacks would be essential. Bows would work well here, as you might expect them to in real life. (In real life, it isn't easy to kill even one wolf with a primitive weapon. Games often classify animals as weak enemies, when in reality, any wolf is far more dangerous than any human in a melee fight.)

Also as part of the mod, natural animals such as wolves and bears would be less inclined to attack you if you kept your distance. Fantasy ones, however, such as Ice Wraiths, giant spiders, and trolls would maintain their unwarranted hatred of you.

Once again, this mod wouldn't be right for everyone. I wouldn't want it to be the default settings of the game, but I think it could be a nice option for people who want adventuring in a strange wilderness to actually feel dangerous and real. (And yet don't want to have to hit a basic enemy twenty times to bring them down, as higher difficulties would likely enforce.)

what about other people? like let's say a bandit is on the road and he pops out and goes "rawr" and attacks. would you be able to take him down with a couple swipes (and vice versa)?

would this make leveling obsolete if every level person is the same?
