csgators
They currently have a good price on pre-order, $53.95. I bought Oblivion through them and got burned bad by not being able to use OBSE and had to buy the game again on DVD. Anyone know if that will be a problem with Skyrim? Seems that digital copies are more common now and Steam that controls the protection has its own digital version so it should be OK but I am still nervous. Anyone know for sure? hector530
I'm not sure but since it's a steam game they just sell the activation key, right. If so yeah you'd be ok
natelovesyou
It's just $6...you really think it's worth it? You won't even get a physical copy of the game, case, manual, map, or a pre-order bonus map.
Stormcrown
There's nothing like standing in line for 2 hours in cold November weather with hundreds of other nerds talking about video games the entire time... So I always stick with ordering my anticipated games in physical copies.

At least with a digital copy I should be able to play at midnight. I really don't need more manuals I will never read cluttering my bookshelf anyway. I guess I feel rather justified in waiting a bit to play just so I can have a physical copy...though in my case, it's also the CE. Can't download a plastic dragon...yet. :P

Pronam
I'd not recommend using Direct2Drive as they've not shown any signals to stop their encryption of their exe files. Although they've said themselves there will be a lesser need for an extender, you never know how it'll turn out and for a few bucks you're possibly limiting yourself some mods in a year. Yeah, I am thinking the same but I am loath to give my money straight to Steam. Maybe I should get a digital copy from Gamestop.
