Flipout6
I have an idea for a quest, (somewhat.) Our man Anguis (or something) starts off as a novice in the legion, just an initiate. (in the appropriate armor, with weaker weapons.) His commanding officer, whoever that may be, has seen that he has something about him different from the rest of his fellow warriors which, if used right, could make him into one of the legion's deadliest warriors. He truly believes in the cause of the legion, and isn't inherently good or evil, but a bit inbetween. You talk the commanding officer into letting him go with you to see if you can't refine him into a deadly warrior of the legion. From there, working against the NCR and helping out the legion will cause him to rise through the ranks of the legion, gaining the attention of Caesar or Legate Lanius themselves. (Armor and weapons should increase in effectiveness at appropriate times.) Making certain moral choices along your path will also cause him to slowly open up to you, and start a companion quest. (don't know about a story, but hopefully it'll be along and eventful chain, maybe even taking you east of the mojave, into legion territory.) with a twist. After it is completed, or even by the method in which it is completed, the character will get to choose if he is to become more of a hard-ass, (making more extreme decisions, etc.) or sensitise him a little, and also pick whether he is to be promoted to the rank of Centurion, (More of a fighter, good with melee weapons, guns and unarmed.) or a Frumentarius. (More of a sneak, skilled with sneak, melee weapons and guns.) which will affect his functions as a companion. with each promotion he should become more effective with sneak, guns, melee and unarmed, but his final promotion should greatly increase two or three of the skills to significantly refine his functions as a companion, and actually make a difference. mind you, these are just IDEAS, I even have some ideas for equipment. getting to his highest ranks, and thus the best equipment, should probably be reached around level 25-30. 1st rank, not promoted: Legion recruit armor and helmet, cowboy repeater, machete.2nd Rank (level 5-10): Legion prime armor and helmet, hunting rifle, machete gladius.3rd rank (level 10-20): Legion Veteran armor and helmet, trail carbine, Fire axe. Final rank: Centurion: Legion Centurion Armor and Helmet, Brush Gun, Super Sledge OR Final Rank: Frumentarius: Legion Vexillarius armor and helmet (upgraded stats.) Silenced Sniper Rifle, upgraded 1h melee wep. Just some ideas, I hope these help! Edited April 14, 2012 by Flipout6
