Ran into a wierd glitch at the end of of the game.

Ok, I'll try to make this real simple, while trying to be as spoiler free as possible.

 

I have the GOTY edition, and I just beat the main campaign. Saw the ending, and then it comes back to me, but for some reason I'm still in the same room as I was right before I did what I need to do at the end of the game. I have tried both entering the code myself, and having Fawkes do it. I've also tried closing and restarting Fallout 3, as well as gone back to different save files.

 

Is there anything I can do, or am I skrewed?

no mods no ?? cos if you had a custom race that would cause problems there

fallout 3 remastered mod is a great little tool it just corrects many vanilla errors it may even cover that one

 

have you updated the game to patch 1.7 ???

if thats the case go to the nexus mods forum check the " official " downloads category for the patch

 

or possibly do you have the dlc and game installed in different locations if so move them both into c/games /fallout 3 this is a common problem created by using express installation

Are you using a custom race mod? If you are, try using the Custom Race Endings Broken Steel OverRide.

Yep, that was the problem. I was a female child.

 

The only reason I chose to be a child was because I was shocked by how well done this one child related mod was. That said, for some reason I always found it to be a lot easier to pull off headshots as a child, don't know why.

Guess which mod includes a fix for this kind of error, as a catch-all if you're not one of the standard races?
