Ahearn1
I have been looking for a solution to this problem for a while now and haven't come up with anything. My Pip-boy screen shows nothing. It looks like it is turned off but I can still select stuff that would be on there. Like I can change weapons and stuff, I just can't see what the hell I'm doing. It happens across all my saves. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ahearn1
I just tried to install some other pip boy mods to see if that would solve it but it didn't. The Readius also had nothing on the screen. Am I going to have to re-install New Vegas to fix this small huge problem?
bben46
My guess is this was caused by a mod. Reinstalling using the game uninstaller will not fix it as the game uninstaller doesn't remove mods. Just unchecking a mod doesn't remove it either. IF you made a backup of the data folder before adding any mods swapping the data folder for that one would be an easy way to see if it is a mod. If not, then make that backup copy now, before reinstalling. Rename the data folder to something like \data_11-6-11 That removes the data folder entirely from the game, along with the files needed to play the game - so it will not work. Also, rename the save games folder the same way to keep from losing any of them. Now,reinstall and it will create a new /data folder with just the files required to play. Go ahead and start the game and test it. Then before adding any mods back that data folder up - instead of renaming, COPY the data folder into a new folder - with a name like /Data-original. If it works, you have a fall back data folder to use for future troubleshooting. And you have a list of the mods in your old list that you can use to reinstall - while keeping an eye out fr the one that caused the problem. Ahearn1
Nice I'll try that out. But the problem just started happening kind of out of the blue. It was working fine with all the mods for many many hours.
Ahearn1
Haha. Nothing I tried worked. I guess I'm all done with this game. Bring on Skyrim.
