lliizziiee
Yeh...i'm really confused here, this is my first forum and my first topic made...i need help from anyone willing to help me...i'm desperate...i'm a regular modder and a creator of my own mods using the TES Construction Set....i found early on, after re-installing Oblivion, a saved game i created last time i used Oblivion, before i uninstalled it, was still saved in my Saved Games area....strange but i didn't mind it very much. The reason i'm bringing up that particular save is because it might be the cause of my current problem. It might be something else causing it but i felt i had to mention it just in case. Whenever i play in Oblivion, the land where i'm walking or the area that loaded around me when i went to that location turns into purple tiles....if u look closely then the tiles look like maps of the area....like in the Imperial City it looks like an overview of the city on the tile..... The land that didn't load near me is still right...no tiles....only the land near me is purple tiles. This happens wherever i go...even inside cities.....that's not the only problem though....whenever i go to the Imperial City...like Weye for example...the far-off land from around Piukanda and Outlaw Endre's Cave all the way to Kvatch (near the mountain ranges) is completely gone...i just see trees floating in the distance...but when i get close to the area that is missing, the land loads, but it's purple tiles......i don't understand what's going on....did i do something wrong with installing different mods? like a clash of some mod and the master file?........i'm pretty good with the TES Construction Set (i taught myself) and i was wondering if there was something i could do to fix it.......please don't be mean to me...i'm new.....and about my grammer....i do have very good English...but it's the weekend and i'm online...so i don't care much about grammer right now....don't be mean about the grammer thing...i've seen many people who get mad about that.....so i shall make it known that i be lazy lol  i've added a photo showing what the tiles look like and in the background you can see the land has disappeared in the mountain region
Abramul
This seems a common bug. Don't remember if I've suggested this before, but try renaming Oblivion.ini, which may be found at %HOMEPATH%\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion When you start the game, it will make a new copy from the default. (You could also just delete it, but if you've made changes, this way they're still there if you want them again.) As for the distant land, make sure it's set to on in the game options.
