Help with last 10% of a gun

Okay so I've been working on a 50BMG revolver based on the .44 magnum revolver, I've done the model, which is just an edited .44, but I've reached the limits of what I can do.

So far the bits that I haven't been able to do are the quick loaded, the casings, a working world model and the iron sights. I can do the casing and should be able to manage the quick loader and world model but I'm completely stuck on the iron sights.

The front aim marker has been changed a bit but not by much and the back one has been left alone, and the gun hasn't gained or lost any hight , yet when I put it in game, the iron sights seem like you're looking through them at an angle, from really far back and the gun is far to low, despite the fact I haven't changed the sighting node (see pic)

Any advice on this?

If you want to you can try and adjust the ##SightingNode in Nifskope. You can move it up or down very slightly on the Y axis. It's a lot of trial and error to get them all lined up properly. Also you'd have to do it for each variant that uses the ACOG.

This is what zeelotlee reply to me when I asked him about aligning the sights.

Also, wrong section.

OK I understand the sighting node, and I'd assume ACOG, is a ref to having a scope mod?

Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention ACOG is the scope in his mod.

Sorry for wrong section

Also confused as to why the sight is off when I didn't change the hight of the body?

I don't think I can help you with that. Maybe someone else can help you. I'm new to modding. Still reading Blender tutorials. >_>

I'm as new as they come as well, still checking the key short cuts haha

Realisticly I either need someone to walk me through it or takes the reins for this last bit

No worries HatterMaster I think I have this one almost done

Brilliant, where are you at with it?

Crap, I'm not going to be able to finish it I have to take off for work in 10 minutes. But it looks really easy just go down to node 56 (sighting node) and in the pic where it's highlighted change Y 7.7094. Maybe start with 5 or 6 see how it looks in game, save, try it out in game "wash rinse repeat" until you have it where you want it.

I'll be back in about 6 or 7 hours, and may get a chance to check in from work

Here is the pic;

EDIT: OBTW you may want to reduce weapon spread to 0 until you get the sights working. That way you can test how accurate they are without spread throwing off your shots at your target.
