devinpatterson
Hmmm, even setting it to one doesnt seem to help much :/I'll have a look around and see if I can't ask a willing modder to help iron out the kinks Yeah didn't have any effect for me either. Tried apply which helps with nifs when settings don't stick, but no luck. Also I think I found out why your loading animation only plays half way. You probably hid the speedloader while you were working on the pistol and forgot to unhide it before selecting all and exporting. So it isn't in your nif. If you still have the .blend file and can unhide it, then export it your golden. If you don't, might have to start again :( apparently my export settings for blender are jacked, I can't seem to export a working nif from the pistol. But I was going to try and alter the sighting node in blender. Maybe you could give it a shot (G then Z for grab, z axis) and lower it a bit. Got it circled in red for you. I'm going to see if I can't check some blender to fallout 3 tutorials and reset my configuration, as well as work on chp 1 for sunset so I may be out of commission for a while..... http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/6756/sightingnode.jpg AG said she'd help us out, here is a little quote; As for revolver recoil, I'd have to suggest the Hunting Revolver for something like that. It's got some pretty big heft to it, as I recall, and would be the closest comparison to a .50 MG revolver. Of course, the sawed off shotgun is always an option as well, but the Hunting Revolver has the added benefit of an animated hammer. Nice touch for a revolver. I'd offer to lend a hand with this one, but I wouldn't have a means of making a three-shot cylinder with Blender and don't have it installed on the laptop, so I won't be doing much in the model editing department. *smiles* Be happy to check it out in greater detail down the road though, I'm also quite good at getting iron sights worked out and aligned. -If- you guys go with a custom caliber, we can also make a custom muzzle flash for it, as well. Or, another option is to use standard ammo types and have, say, the most basic .50 MG bullet type use a custom flash. Other ammo types would work but would have the normal, smaller flash. Here's an idea of what I'm getting at: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/40000-3-1316013280.jpg That's a single shot .50 MG pistol I made up (with the sawn off shotgun animations, which work -very- well for it.) With standard ammo, you'll get that insane muzzle flash that dwarfs the gun. But, if you loaded AP ammo in, the flash would go back to something almost polite by comparison. Heck, if you guys want you can borrow that muzzle flash right out of SU for it. Right now you guys are working in an area where I have quite a bit of knowledge, so I'm available if any of you have any questions!
HatterMaster
Thats brilliant!Been looking into the problem of iron sight and I think I MIGHT have found the problem (still no idea of the quick load mesh dissapearing though)when I export the nif I chose to export with FO3 defaults since theres no NV option, maybe this is why it's not working? Also with the giant muzzle flash I'm fine with just using standard 50BMG, if i put a note with the gun i can say something like it being liable to blow up so dont stick anything else in there :)If I REALLY cant get it to work maybe she can help? the modelling iv got down, just need to do the quick loader and the shells, but both should be easy :)

No you did that correctly, it's what you want If I REALLY cant get it to work maybe she can help? the modelling iv got down, just need to do the quick loader and the shells, but both should be easy :) I guess it would depend on being able to copy those nifs and their associated branches/animations back over, and I have no idea if it's easy or hard, AG should know. Got blender working again, so maybe I can help
