Malicia
Everytime I get attacked or there's a mudcrab around the game freezes for a while, until the music has changed from "normal" to battle music. And then it's the same thing when it shall change the music back to normal again. Is there some way around this? I don't want to shut the Morrowind music off completely, maybe just the battle music. cmac
The battle music initiates when a creature/ hostile NPC detects the PC. It ends right after the hostile entity is dead. Unless you somehow modify what musci plays when (title as main, constantly playing) then I can't think of any way around it.
Malicia
yes, I know the reason to why the music changes. And it gets more and more annoying the harder my character gets as the fights now normally lasts for like 5 seconds.Damn lag.
cmac
There is no way to shut off the battle music unless you delete it altogether. And then you will get an error message for the missing file. I would suggest just shutting off the music if you don't like it.
Malicia
but argh!I like the music, even the battlemusic! Oh, well. I guess I have to live with that stupid lag then....
DragoonFurey
just replace the battle music mp3s with a blank 2second mp3, no more battle music, still might lag some while changing mp3s but the lag should be a little less since its loading a smaller file. ohGr
the mp3 format of music eats up CPU time, in other words, if you have a p3 500 computer, the mp3's drain about 30-60 of that cpu, then theres windows which is about 200 and the game takes up the rest.your best bet is turning off the music.
