envelope91
Exploring a huge fantasy world during an epic adventure with your best friend, to fight dragons and slay monsters with your pal? How could that be fun? It wont happen.
Tweetybird
*sigh* No. Just no.

Tweetybird
Yeah. One that steals your loot. Besides that, it's pretty doubtful you'd be able to have free-roam with the massive map that Skyrim offers.

anandus
Wasn't there a multiplayer-mod for Oblivion? Or was it Fallout? Very buggy and laggy, though.
Nebrule
its like having a companion,no? exactly, a companion that will do just what you want them to (well most of the time). They won't argue about where to go or what to do, or complain because you have a better weapon, so on and so on and so on and when you finally can't take it any more and cut off their head, they won't through a can of beer at your tv and jerk the controller out of the jack so hard it pulls the whole system off the shelf. so... NO. No co-op, No online co-op, No mmo, No multiplayer of any kind. These single player rpg's are really the best and last of their kind.

nolgroth
My best friend and I often lamented over the lack of some sort of small multiplayer (LAN party) capability in Oblivion. The truth is that, aside from the sheer technological hurdles to code in some sort of networking, it would still be very difficult. We would both want a Persistent World model and that would require an always on server. Aside from that, we don't often get to play at the same time, so it would be hard to coordinate our gaming. One or the other would steal all the quests and loot. And to have quests respawn would completely destroy the illusion that I am playing my story. On its face, Co-op sounds good, but the technological and design challenges make the reality a lot more sour.
