One: There will, of course, be a Wiki for Skyrim.

Two: It will need support! For the Oblivion CS Wiki, something like 90% of the material (aside from what Bethesda gave to us) was written by 10 people. Not 10%, 10. Honestly, might have been less than that. GECK had a different set of people, but I think it may have actually been less than that. Those ten people aren't going to do it again. So please register for the Wiki when it opens. Please share what you learn and try to improve the entire community.

Three: The Wiki absolutely accepts, encourages, and wants tutorials!

Ok, the Wiki helped people a lot, but the idea of this thread was to build a really in-depth set of tutorials, from the foundamentals to the most hard and technical operations, with detailed images, videos too...

I think the Wiki is mostly a "reminder" for those who already have become familiar with the construction set.

I thought something similar to the TES Alliance school, but even more in-depth, hope.

Plus, i left blank the scripting, quests, AI fields etc.., in order to let the respective gurus to complete them, and having a good starting point to build the right schedule.

Not true! The Wiki wants tutorials. A good, from-the-beginning, comprehensive, and well-organized set of tutorials is exactly what the Wiki needs. I would really encourage you to consider writing these on the Wiki, once it's unveiled, either mirroring what goes here or just primarily there. Remember, the Wiki is where the CK's "Help" button will take people; it is the primary repository of information.

Thank you. This is a good idea. The WIKI can be daunting too. I got a lot of help from places like this. Both sites are useful for both the novice modder and the experienced modder.

While I agree both sites are very useful, I do want to really encourage everybody to not simply "accept" that the Wiki is daunting. I know it is; I wrote an enormous amount of it. I have tried to simplify things, but between the fact that I already know where everything is, and the fact that I'm only one person, that's easier said than done!

I really want to encourage everybody to help out, for the good of the community.

Being able to ask questions on a forum is also very helpful.

Heh, this will always be true.

I voted Yes of course for both!

I would be happy to see it grow, I will support it, and I will learn from it.

I have been looking for such a tutorial, from the start, the fundamentals which is a must for beginners especially on these forums which are all about modding.

I am a beginner and the Wiki and construction set is very good as a reference(but not for the beginner).

Although it has a beginner special article there are more to be written about modding Skyrim now(its for oblivion) and by writing tutorials, in one location organized in sections, by the modders here and anyone who has knowledge, any beginner can learn.

It must be stressed that the most important section of tutorials of this kind is the fundamentals part, the basics, and their importance for a complete beginner is almost always underestimated.

I hardly ever see such a tutorial or guide which includes a thorough preface and introduction for modding in general. Most of them go right deep without any introduction and fundamentals.

I hope it will grow and be supported as soon as possible!

Just a critique on the poll answers, they're slanted towards making people give a positive answer and the option I would have chosen isn't there.

The best polls have very neutral options, generally on a 1 to 5 scale, e.g. Yes, Probably, Don't know, Probably not, No.

So my answers would be "Probably" to both questions.
