Climbing Mod

I would like a mod where you can get a perk to climb stuff. So mountains or walls can be scaled.

 

This could be forced first person to make it easier to animate.

 

 

Good idea.

Should be contingent on attributes and skills already possessed though...higher erm..agility or the like mixed with strength to increase your chances of successful climbing

 

But, make it more interesting...every few seconds, some check to see if you pass...if you fail a check, you start slipping and your checks become much easier to fail...miss another check and you fall.

If your high up and fall, well, doom awaits..so you can't scale that mega tower of super riches as a level 1 without either falling a few feet up, or tumbling to your death midway..

 

Someone however focusing lots on agility and such will be able to all but dance up walls silently and quickly in time without much fear of falling (always a chance, but becomes less likely as your spidey skillz improve)

If there is climbing you will need to change the starting perks/abilities for khajiit and argonians, as they have claws and a much easier time climbing. Other than that I wouldn't add this as a new skill with its own skill trees, and any new perks related to it should be quest/trainer/item related (quest: complete a task involving climbing, collecting items or something, and receive a perk; trainer: pay for a perk; item: specific gauntlets would give you the perk/ability that khajiit/argonians start with).

 

The perk/ability for khajiit, argonians and gauntlets would be something like: Improved climbing ability, able to hold onto surfaces longer (stamina drain is lessened)

 

Also a reference to my spears, crossbows, throwing thread: grappling hooks / rope arrows. These would have either no slipping or even longer surface adhesion than the aforementioned perk/ability (stamina drain is lessened further).

 

As for climbing itself I would do it based on just the stamina, when you run out, you fall. Heck you could probably make it use the same key as sprinting/jumping, if you are near a clime-able surface sprint/jump into it. We would also want to include vaulting for fences, walls, crates and such.

 

That reminds me, are the clime-able ladders this time around? lol

Yeah yeah its a good idea i mean if i were master archer or hunter, i believe i will seek a higher place to observe my target, then watch around for any threat possible if i decide to attack my target, or to see if there another better spot to observe my target from height then i will silently sneak and climb into that spot, after i found my best spot surely i drew my archer tightly and *HIT* my target perfectly :yes:
