Customized mesh causing CTD

I took the female mouth and edited it in 3ds max with the goal of making a fang / vampire set of teeth. I got the 3ds file back to a nif file, and tried to use a tutorial to sort of put it back in the female mouth nif in nifskope, but I've done something wrong. Nifskope can open the nif. Creation kit loads the file, but it's as if the file is blank or empty. The game CTD when told to use it (I made a new headpart in CK and a terminal script with ChangeHeadPart()).

 

Oh and I know I'm missing the skin block thing from the default mouth in the attached file; nikskope was showing an error message about it, so I tried to taking it out to see if that would fix my problems (it didn't). And yes the fangs aren't symmetrical and probably need more work in 3ds max; I'm still at the proof of concept stage.

 

Any help/advice would be very appreciated. I'm guessing I've probably missed something obvious since this is my first time working with a mesh or any type of poly modeling.
