wire inside a house

hey all,

 

i want to connect a computer terminal to the electric grid, the terminal is inside a house and need a wire to connect, how do i do that wire's cannot go tru walls.

You need to use a few of the little power conduits to sort of bend the wire in through a doorway or window.

Do you have any mods that allow you to place in red?

While they still won't let you go through walls (i don't think), you can connect them both while they're outside then move one inside after. I used to do it that way when i used 'Place in Red' and it worked like a charm. I've just switched to Place Anywhere though and not had a chance to try that yet but i would imagine it would also let you do it (from the brief bit i have seen of it, it might even let you wire through walls, it's pretty awesome!)

I personally use this Power Conduits and Pylons Overhaul. No unsightly wiring.

@ma1025 Thx but this is not working there are no gaps in the house, i made a house from scratch with snap and build mod.

@ puddycat thx but i don't use 'place in red' and i dont trust the prg cheat engine that you must use on the side.

If i try to connect them outside and place one in after, the connection go's red and cannot place it inside.

@TheNukaDude thx but Power Conduits and Pylons work only with lights . a computer monitor needs a direct wire connections just like laser turrets.

Then you could try using Generator - Fusebox to place a new power source inside the house. Then you can just pull a wire off of that (assuming you attach wires to it, I'm not using that mod myself).

thx ma1025, but also that is not working, in order to the computer terminal to work it needs to be connected to the grid so you can turn your switches en turrrets on or off, if you know what i mean :)

The second one i mentioned, Place Everywhere, doesn't use Cheat Engine. You do however need F4SE

I just tested it, and while you can't wire through the house, you can connect them both outside then move one inside after like i thought.
