Ziggurat
When I speak to some people (Divayth Fyr and the Wisewoman of the Urshilaku camp come to mind) they tell me something like: "I thought you were the Nerevarine? Perhaps there is something you've done wrong or something your haven't done?" or something along those lines. Anyways, this only pops up once and then they talk as normal, they also tell me I need to talk to the head guy at the Vivec Temple (Saryoni[sp?]), and I've talked to him about every topic I can. So then what do these mean? Thanks in advance.
ctogher
Ha! Yes.. also received same message and, after ignoring it, have stumbled across something seemingly connected. Close to one of the quest camps, I stumbled across a vampire cave. when I killed the head honcho I was kicked from the game as I had "broken the main story thread". This tells me that at some point in the main quest I should have something to do with the vampires. When consulting our good freind, the "not_so_wise" woman, there is mentioned made of "drinking their shame". There are also various hints in the game regarding "vampirism cure". My conclusion is that at some point you must become a vampire and then get cured....? I am unable the complete the pilgrimages at the temple as a I managed to find and sell a vital item prior to receiving the quest....
Malchik
Not so I'm afraid. You can become a vampire (there are 10/11 vampiric quests depending on the clan you choose and some good rewards if you know what you are doing). You can be cured, too but this is incidental to the game. The guy you killed is probably Crazy Batou (the one with the Bloodworm Helm) and the error message is a mistake. It seems to have been intended to use him in the quest but when the intention was dropped the message was left in. If you are following the main quest become Hortator of the three Great Houses and be declared nectarine of the four clans, then go and speak to the woman who hangs around outside the temple Danso Indules. She will give you instructions. You should be okay after that.
Curt Sibling
"declared 'nectarine' of the four clans" Excellent! As the esteemed Malchik states, the vampiric status has no bearing on the main quest, it is just another aspect of coolness in MW.
Ziggurat
Oh, I forgot to mention, I've already talked to her initially and visited Vivec, been sent to Ghostgate to get Kagrnec's Tools, then defeated Dagoth Ur. After that I slept for my first time in a long while (I noticed sometime during my newb career I had set the difficulty bar to -100 so I put it up to 100 and nearly got pummeled :P.) And I started having dreams - 4 to be exact, about a golden mask guy (Dagoth Ur?) And such, the last one he said something like "come to visit me once again." Would this effect me in any way? Was I supposed to visit him earlier?
Malchik
Oh right. The problem will be how you left Dagoth Ur's lair. You have to walk out the way you came in to get the visitation by Azura. If you've teleported out or used another spell it won't work. You'll have to reload a game before you killed him and do it again. Or perhaps it will still work just to go back to the lair again as the dream suggests. Try it.
Ziggurat
I did get a visit from Azura - but I'll try going back again.
