Azu942
Could I trouble anyone to fix automatron settlers to have the correct dialogue options when assigned as vendors? I find it immensely irritating that I cannot have functioning robot clerks. It would add so much character to my settlements.
Azu942
Bring Up My Post!I know it's not as simple a fix as it seems, but I'm starting to doubt it's going to be officially patched anytime soon, what with Bethesda's half-assed fix in 1.5. KaelVirum
In my experience, any NPC that can follow you, when assigned to any type of vendor, doesn't have vendor dialogue. I had Piper as an armor vendor and every time I approached her she just wanted to know if I was taking her with me. Same goes for the created robots. I think, in order to do what you'd want, one would have to remove the created robots from the follower faction, and I don't know about anyone else, but having a bad*ss robot that I built following me around is more appealing than having a robot vendor. However, the idea of being able download KL-E-O's personality and uploading it to a created robot to serve as a vendor with some kind of script to remove only that one robot from the follower faction would be cool, methinks. Azu942
Mm, I see what you're saying. It wouldn't be as much of an issue for me, as I tend to play stealthy, lone-wanderer type characters, and companions of any kind more often than not get in my way more than they help. We're now presented with an an extra opportunity, however: if someone could come up with a script to temporarily remove an individual robot from the follower faction, that same script might work for making normal followers into proper vendors.
