Dodferatu
HiI'm fairly new to this so please bear with me and reply as if I'm an alien with no idea of what modding is.I've done all the required changes to Fallout4Custom.ini and installed AWKCR plus the compatability files and various other mods. When any mods are enablled and I try to load my game I crash to desktop. With all mods disabled I can play away happily, but whenever I enable any mod (including AWKCR) I crash to desktop.I've tried running NMM as admin and launching game through NMM with the same results. Please help this noob :(Thanks
SkyTaylor21
I know that when I had a ton of mods unstalled for skyrim it would crash because I reached my max memory block which means my computer couldn't process the game anymore so the game crashed and I would have to reload. It could just be that you have to many mods for your computer to handle or some of your mods may be conflicting with each other which could cause the game to crash as well. Dodferatu
It would appear that I can only have one mod running at a time. I need AWKCR in order for the others to work, but can't apply any others if it's running.I deleted everything and installed the AWKCR loose files mod which was fine, but I would crash if I installed and ran anything else.Any ideas if there's any way around this?Would it make any difference if I copied the relevent files over manually rather than using NMM?Thanks for your help. SkyTaylor21
I wouldn't know if copying them manually would make a difference... I've never used NMM so I wouldn't be much help there, but judging by the fact that you can only run one mod at a time, I would assume that your computer just can't handle it all. I've never played fallout 4 so I'm going off of what I experienced with skyrim. Are you using a laptop or desktop?
Dodferatu
I'm usung a quad core laptop with 8gb ram if that's any help.
SkyTaylor21
Then you should be able to run mods just fine, this sounds like an issue that someone more experienced with fallout 4 is going to have to help you with. Sorry for not being much help.
Dodferatu
Thanks for taking the time to help me, mate. Was most appreciated :thumbsup:After further investigation I have found that it must be something to do with adding the AWKCR and Crafting Workbenches Mods as I am currently running Everyone's Best Friend, Wearable Backpacks & Pouches and a billboard art updater mod with no issues. I'm gonna add more just to check that it's an issue only with the workbench ones (which are the ones I really wanted lol) Edited June 16, 2016 by Dodferatu
SkyTaylor21
Glad you got it sort of figured out. It does sound like a problem with AWKCR or Crafting Workbenches.
