TheOrsini
I remember playing Oblivion with 200+ mods for stability, immersion, and new content. Who remembers the Archaeology Guild? or the other Dark Brotherhood Sanctuaries? or the surviving the horrors of FCOM? But quest mods aside mods aside at the moment, I want to discuss mods of immersion that shouldn't change the game's story; even on the first playthrough. 1) Darker Nights: Obvious, but unless Skyrim finally picked up on the fact that the dark is a good thing, then this will be needed. This also provides the need for a torch that hopefully throw realistic light. 2) Darker Interiors and Dungeons: Same as above. 3) More "Unique Landscapes": From the beauty of the Heath to the dangers of the Entius Gorge, who does not recall the benefit to the environmental scenes? Now before its said, Bethesda did in my opinion an amazing job designing the environment, BUT, you and I both know that there will be places that can be tweaked... and there we may need some patchwork via this kind of mod. 4) A Dragon Mod:?? This primary deals with the combat statistics of dragons to make them follow more D & D rules. Not alignment-wise, although, a gold Dragon being friendly would be cool. eg Dragon Breath Immunity White Ice (Frost) Frost Black Acid (Damage Health) Damage Health Blue Lightning (Shock) Shock Red Fire Fire Green Poison (chlorine so poison is close enough) Poison And most importantly, don't include what kind of dragon it is in the name. Color alone should give you enough information. 5. Imp's More Complex Needs (IMCN): A godsend for the hardcore mode of Fallout New Vegas. Regulated multiple factors of nutrition instead of just food, water, and sleep, and kept a realistic rate for them to progress. This is a pipe dream at the moment since there is no hardcore mode for Skyrim :(. Perhaps modding or maybe even ** an expansion or dlc *** could introduce this feature for those interested. NiKtheALiEN
I've just stopped playing, if only for dinner! The game is wonderful, so many improvements have been made, surely inspired by many of the great mods for Oblivion. However, seems nothing has been done to improve the darkness, the game is still way too light for my liking. I came here looking to see if anyone has a fix yet. Added my vote for darker night, darker interiors...much needed.
Ka3m0n
Good choices in poll. +1 for all realism mods eat/sleep/drink (with adjustable timescale)darker dungeons/nights (requiring the use of torches)slower-paced combat that's less frequent, more difficult and more realistic - combat fatigue, better physics (e.g. knockback from being hit or blocking)etc...
