Taffington Boathouse Boatshed

I have converted it to sleeping quarters and placed Friffy's Fixed Rugs over the slipway. If that would be too posh for a workshop, those black rubber square floor tiles found in the Sanctuary houses make a nice solid floor.

This was a tough one to manage. I wanted to do the same thing but I didn't like how the door opened up and blocked the way of getting in. I did eventually put my workshop in there and used the small floor squares, starting with putting one on the walkway, and made a path that covered half of the water (in case I wanted to go diving from the workshop).

did you try using the wood foundation that's on posts? I was able to do similar at Egret Tours using them.

otherwise, like bobofudd said, you can put one of the small floor pieces down on the existing walkway and use it to snap other floors to.

Thanks for your suggestions. I had used a wooden bridge part and laid rugs on top of it but it was unsatisfactory. Gaps & seams were glaringly obvious.I'll try again with some of your suggestions.

PS: I don't suppose there's a way of removing the stairs that go down into the water, the door, and those booby trap devices?

Hi, you don't have to use the wooden bridge since rugs (or the floor tiles I mentioned ) act as a rigid floor. I have a couple of the "Scrap" mods and I was able to delete the little moorings posts, the only thing that wouldn't go was the vice the booby trap gun was held in.
