noleafcloverx
The vanilla smithing perk tree just feels....lame. I often find myself jumping from the iron armor to the ebony armor without anything really in between and then I get dragon bone armor at like level 30, that is way to early in the game for my opinion and I also don't like level requirements for perks. My proposed solution and a mod idea: Smithing perk divided into 2 trees (I know this has been done plenty of times, but this is different, just keep reading) light and heavy armor There won't be any new armor types or categories or even new perks just the requirements for the different armor sets will change. To move from each armor selection a number of full armor sets and full weapon sets must have been forged in order to be eligible for the next perk. In immersive terms complete mastery of Iron Smithing must be completed in order to get Steel Smithing, none of this grinding out 100 iron daggers and suddenly I can create Ebony Armor. Specifically each item in the Iron Smithing Category must be smithed and upgraded (at a wheel or bench) before the Steel Armor perk becomes available. Same with Steel to Dwarven, Dwarven to Orcish, Orcish to Ebony, Ebony to Daedric, and Daedric to Dragon, and Leather to Elven to Glass to Dragon Scale Does that make sense? Any takers? Again thanks for all the awesome work you modders do for us!
redrakiton125
You could try Ordinator Perks it offers a lot more flexibility with smithing and makes it a more interesting perk tree.
