Povuholo
They didn't take it out, they slowed it down. You move much slower backwards than forwards.
DarthVue
If it's possible, then why even argue it? It's like saying "WHY IS HE EATING THAT PIECE OF FOOD WHEN HE SHOULD BE EATING IT AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT?" See?
xaliqen
This is disappointing, especially after hearing reports over the past months from Bethsoft developers that they took running backwards out of the game. I was watching PC gameplay on IGN today and the player's mage was running backwards while firing off spells and knights in heavy armor doing the same. Very disappointing that Bethsoft still hasn't fixed this exploit. Think a modder will fix this? Using scrolls or arrows to double items in Oblivion is an exploit. Jogging backwards isn't an exploit, it's an intentional part of the game. If you don't like that part of the game, fine, but don't pretend it's automatically wrong to include it. Tilarium
it's not an exploit, you just misunderstand, you can't sprint backwards. you can backpedal in real life at jogging speed, not unrealistic at all.Not over rocky frozen terrain while casting spells with monsters chasing me. Nobody can do that, not realistic at all. I can. Me too! I can even do it while chewing gum and whistling dixie.
