bben46
There is a proper way to give constructive criticism. First, thank the mod author for their work, then complement them for something in the mod that you like. This gets them in a good mood and will make them more receptive to criticism. Then as politely as you can, bring up your criticism - be specific and make suggestions on how you think it could be improved. And what the benefit to the author will be. Saying your mod is just terrible will immediately get the author upset - and they may not even look at the rest of your complaint. :verymad: Then when you have completed your criticism, DON'T just stop. Again say something nice with the hope to see more of their work in the future. Toss in a smiley or two to help set a friendly tone. If you don't think their mod is a total loss, mention giving them a kudo. Then DO IT! The point is to make them feel good about their mod and want to improve it based on what you say. And again, If you really don't have anything good to say at all, it's best to pass on by. Don't comment at all if you haven't actually played it, or if you don't intend to play it.
