Spiritspawn
Hello Everyone I seem to have run into a problem while using my g35 headset. It seems that when im looking at a NPC that is speaking the sound for that NPC disappears yet when i turn away from them there voice can then be heard once again. Has anyone else has the same problem or does anyone know a solution to this problem. This would help a lot as im having to turn away from a lot of the NPC as they speak and it is ruining the game play for me
iTylon
I play Skyrim with a Logitech G35 headset and I don't have this problem. I don't have the G35 software installed and don't use the surround effect. Try turning it off if it's on.
yocaher
Hey, I was having this same problem. What I did to fix it was disable all other sound devices; I didn't need to remove the Logitech software. Now, with surround sound on, NPC voices sound through the proper direction. Hope that helps. edit:In Windows 7 (that's what I'm using) right click on the windows speaker icon, and click on "Playback devices." In the Playback devices window, right click each sound device that is NOT the G35 headset, and click "Disable" Edited January 7, 2012 by yocaher

Disabling other sound devices seemed to fix this for me.
Nudedragon
I don't have this issue, but try turning off the surround sound, and seeing if it continues. It has the capacity to do directional volume, and it may be assuming that from some angle you wouldn't be able to hear the npc at all.
